I have a problem........

I decided that when I could remove my pants without unzipping or unbuttoning them, it is time to think about new clothes. AND I hate shopping. I know...I sounds crazy but I do hate shopping. It has nothing to do with the fact that I can't ever find anything that fits. Even when I was my smallest size as an adult, I hated shopping. I think I always will.

I did go shopping today....and now I have another problem. I have no idea what size I am. My biggest problem is pants and jeans. When I find something that fits on my legs, the waist is too big. When I find something that fits in the waist, the legs are way too tight. I am going to have to start looking into alterations. I have never done something like that before but I don't have much choice if I want to wear something that does not have an elastic waist band.

I shopped all day and ended up with one pair of slacks for work, which were about FOUR sizes smaller than some of the pants I am wearing to work now. I haven't really shopped in a long long time. I had plenty of things in the closet that were too small but some of them I have to get rid of already. I still need to find some jeans but will have to look into the cost of alterations before I purchase any.

All in all, I guess these are not bad problems to have, eh?

  1. Of all the problems to have while losing weight, you gotta admit, this is one of the best :)

I always have to have my clothes altered since I'm only 5' tall, even at a normal petite sizes, they are too long and the hip/waist ratio is never right.

  2. With vanity sizing now we just have to try everything on. It has been shown that women will buy more if they think they are getting into a smaller size so what used to be a 14 can now be a 12.

  3. Congrats on the loss, do women wear belts? Maybe that could help with waist looseness.

  4. I'm soooooo lazy about the new clothes too. I'm wearing clothes 4 sizes too big for me because I'm convinced they're not too bad cinched with a belt.
